Appointment Policy

Pets are seen by appointment. Please call us to schedule your appointment or book online (click on “Schedule and Appointment” in upper right hand corner of website). If you have an emergency, please call us. We do everything we can to accommodate emergency situations.

If you are new to Belair Vet, please bring to your appointment a completed New Patient Form (See “New to Belair” tab on our website) as well as all previous veterinary records. If you don’t have your pet’s records, please call us at least 3 days prior to your appointment with your previous veterinary practice name and phone number so we may obtain your pet’s medical information prior to your appointment.

If you make an appointment, and will not be able to make it to your appointment please call us as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule. Appointments that are canceled with less than three hours notice, or appointments that are missed, will be charged a $45 cancellation fee. Please call us if you need to change your appointment or have any questions.

For the safety of all pets and owners at our facility, please bring your pet either on a leash (dog) or in a carrier (cat or dog).

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, he/she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Care Credit. Belair Vet is unable to accommodate payment plans.
